The 2022 vintage avoided spring frosts, in fact the frost period at the beginning of April had a limited effect on the vine because the vegetative state of the vine was not very advanced. The exceptionally hot and dry summer favored early harvests at the end of August. Despite this heat wave, the yields produced were very satisfactory.
The red wines are of a deep purple color, the wines are fleshy with round and silky tannins worthy of the greatest vintages.
The white wines also benefited from these exceptional climatic conditions. These wines are concentrated, of great finesse, with great aromatic persistence. Wines with great aging potential.
The 2021 vintage was damaged by the “winter” frost that hit the vineyards in early April. A rainy summer favoured mildew attacks.
The harvest took place at the end of September at a normal time of year. In recent years, due to global warming, the harvest had become very early, at the beginning of September or even the end of August.
The 2021 harvest produced low yields. The quality foreshadows wines in a very Burgundy style. After the "solar" vintages of recent years, it is the return of wines in the pure Burgundian tradition, elegant and subtle with fine bouquets.
We can speak of a winegrower's year, because experience and know-how were decisive in the development of this difficult vintage. The produced wines are balanced with a good level of acidity.
The white wines will be fine and distinguished. Very classic red wines will need to age to be appreciated.
The only regret is the historic weakness of the harvest, which is close to a 50% drop in average production, the lowest harvest since 1985...
The 2020 vintage benefited from a mild and rainy winter as for the 2019 vintage.
The spring was particularly hot and dry and favored a good output of grapes. During the growth of the vine, it did not suffer from any disease attacks (Oiduim, Mildew). The passage of the flower towards the end of May announced a very early harvest about August 20.
We started our harvest 25 August in good weather conditions.
The yields were somewhat affected by the drought but the quality of the vintage is remarkable. White Chardonnay wines have a great balance between high sugar and acidity.
The Pinot Noir suffered more from the heat, but the wines like in 2019 will be powerful and elegant.
The 2019 vintage benefited from a humid and mild winter, after a warm start in spring, the vines suffered frosts in April which had a strong impact on the harvest.
The passage of the flower was disrupted by a changeable and cool weather which favored the millerandage of the grapes. The very hot summer somewhat precipitated the date of the harvest, which began in early September.
In view of the spring frosts, the 2020 harvest was very negative but produced high quality wines. The white wines benefit from a high natural degree and a good level of acidity which gives these wines a good hold and a lot of freshness worthy of a vintage in "9".
The red wines produced come from small yields, are fleshy with elegant and delicious tannins.
The 2018 vintage is a great and beautiful vintage for white and red wines.
A very rainy winter, a late spring, a very hot summer were the factors that favoured the quality and the plentiful harvests.
The white wines are of very high quality, expressive and breathtakingly long, the balance is perfect and a good sign for wines to age well. The red wines have nice aromatic concentrations, the colour is great, the palate is fleshy, the tannins are silky and elegant. Good conditions for a great vintage.
The 2017 vintage returns to the norm with a classical vintage with regards to quantity and quality compared to the year 2016 which suffered from the spring frost with very significant yield losses.
However, the spring frost still prevailed locally in the “Côte des Blancs” in the villages of Puligny and Meursault and limited production for these appellations. A loss of about 30% in these villages.
After a fine summer, the harvest was early and took place under excellent conditions producing attractive wines for the whites and pretty bouquets for the reds.
The 2016 vintage was marked by climatic hazards (spring frost,) which had an impact on yields. The 2016 harvest is 40% lower than the theoretically authorized yield.
The abundant spring rains also complicated the work of the vines as the wet weather favoured the attack of powdery mildew. However, these spring rains allowed the vines to withstand the very dry summer. The passage of the flower took place under good conditions. We started our harvest on September 24 in good climatic conditions in beautiful sunshine.
The wines of the 2016 vintage are of high quality, the white wines have a nice ample structure and the red wines are silky and elegant. The wines of the 2016 vintage are to keep for white wines as for red wines.
In 2015, the grapes were simply perfekt with impeccable health and optimal maturity. Beautiful, balanced wines with fantastic aromatic
richness were made from this vintage.
The good feeling, already noticeable during the harvest, turned into real happiness during vinification and first tastings.
Great qualitative homogenity and exceptional concentration lead to a legendary vintage.
A bloom from early june, an advanced ripening mid-July led to the beginning of the harvest in late August. Everything was fast, very fast. The weather had a strong influence on the speed of the procedure. The winemakers harvested accordingly and were rewarded with beautiful grapes for a great vintage.
Some volumes of reds were below expectations.
White Burgundy wines are already very expressive, have beautiful notes of summer fruits and great aromatic purity.
A balance of incredible freshness and richness on the palate.
This harmony will please early drinkers and will develpo further qualities with age.
Red Burgundy wines have intense ant brillant colours.
These energetic wines reveal great, complex aromas, with notes of red fruits, ripe and juicy. Silky and round tannins,
reflections of absolute maturity, provide balance and elegance.
2015 is already a great gourmet vintage, which will be revealed over the years.
In the springtime, the 2014 vintage looked like being an early one and the vines profited from the hot and dry weather.
In early June, the vineyards were in flower. Then, an unstable weather period followed with some violent hailstorms.
A cool and rainy summer delayed the acquired advance from the beginning of the cycle.
The picking began in the middle of September. The volume of the juice-output was rather disappointing, especially for the Chardonnay.
This high concentration has had a very beneficial effect on the quality of the wines.
The Burgundy white wines, produced in 2014 are of a high quality, powerful and very balanced. It indicates to be a very good vintage for aging.
The Burgundy red wines have a good concentration on the palate, the tannins are soft and pleasant. They are characterized by finesse and a lot of distinction.
After a long and cold winter, and a spring without much subshine, the first buds appeared in early May.
Fortunately, the village Puligny-Montrachet was untroubled by the hail-and rainstorms that hit the region of the Côte de Beaune.
The vineyards were finally in flower at the end of June.
A rather dry and mild summer protected the vineyards from rotting and enabled the grapes to mature correctly.
In July again, there were hailstorms on the Côte de Beaune and again, the vineyards of Puligny-Montrachet were untouched.
A sunny September contributed a lot to the quality of this vintage.
The picking took place at the end of September. The quality of the grapes allowed to obtain a good quality must.
The output for our Domaine was very good, compared to the average production norm for the Burgundywines. Unfortunately, this was not the case for the proximate vineyards of Volnay, Pommard...
The Burgundy white wines of this vintage have a pale colour.
The nose expresses fineness. The aromas are delicate. This elegance is also found in the mouth.
The wines are mellow and well-structured.
The Burgundy red wines express the aromas of fruit confits. In the mouth, they are mellow, supported by sophisticated and pronounced tannins.
A good length on the tongue prolongs the pleasure.
Climatic conditions, including frost in Spring and hail in June and late July had their impact on the harvest for this vintage.
The flowering in mid-June was subjected to unstable and cold weather conditions which meant the grapes were very tiny. This in turn affected the harvest.
However, at the time of the harvest, our grapes were of very good quality, healthy and free of disease and rot. They could be fermented in excellent conditions.
The vintage of 2012 keeps its promise.
The Burgundy white wines have a bright colour, the nose is dominated by mineral notes. The palate is full and dense with an often powerful finish.
The Burgundy reds are brilliant. They express the aromas of red fruits in their nose. On the palate, they are fine, complex and persistent.
The only regret for this beautiful vintage is the low quantity!
Difficult weather conditions, alternated phases of too dry and too wet, stimulated the vines to give the best of itselves.
After a heatwave in springtime, the vineyards were in flower at the end of May/ beginning of June.
The summer was average and rainy, which provocated some rot, but no serious damage was caused.
This vintage was characterized by its very early picking at the beginning of September. The yields were correct for such a year.
The picking took place in good weather and the grapes were of a fine quality.
In the mouth, these Burgundy white wines have a highly aromatic accuracy with a lingering aftertaste.
The red Burgundy wines are pleasant, coated with persistency.
